Maison Cherie
Our Roots
Chérie is a reflection of two floral worlds coming together — Eastern European floristry and the modern style of Montreal. Our roots in Ukraine taught us the importance of structure, precision, and thoughtful composition, especially in mono bouquets with clean, perfect wrapping. In Montreal, we found inspiration in a lighter, more expressive way of working with flowers, where mixing colors and textures feels natural and free. Bringing these approaches together defines our style today: balanced, evolving, and full of character.

Our Story
At Chérie, our roots are shaped by a love for flowers that began far from here and continues to evolve with us. Founded by Anastasiia, our story begins in Ukraine, where floristry is approached with intention and precision. Large mono bouquets — composed of a single flower in abundance — are designed to feel full, balanced, and visually complete. Each stem is placed with care, and the wrapping is never an afterthought. Clean, structured, and perfectly finished, it frames the bouquet and becomes part of its identity. When we started our journey in Canada, we found ourselves inspired in a completely different way. What drew us in most was the freedom — the way florists here mix different flowers, colors, and textures without restraint. Bouquets felt more fluid, more expressive, and full of movement. It was a new perspective that we truly connected with and grew to love. Rather than choosing between these two approaches, we allowed them to shape one another. We began combining the richness and discipline of Ukrainian mono bouquets — with their signature, refined wrapping — with the creativity and color-driven compositions we discovered here in Canada. Through this process, our style naturally formed. Today, our work reflects this balance: structured yet soft, intentional yet expressive, carefully composed yet never rigid. We pay close attention to every detail, while still allowing space for movement, color, and individuality within each arrangement. This blend defines how we create — and continues to inspire everything we do at Chérie. How We Design We work without fixed templates. Each arrangement begins with a mood, shaped by season, palette, and intention. From there, we build stem-by-stem in our studio, focusing on balance, proportion, and feeling. Every bouquet is carefully composed with attention to movement, texture, and natural flow. Whether structured mono bouquets or more expressive mixed arrangements, our goal is always the same — to create something thoughtful, modern, and full of character. Sourcing & Care We source locally from Quebec growers whenever possible, choosing seasonal blooms at their peak. We also work with trusted international growers when needed to complete specific palettes and forms. Sustainability is part of our process. We plan intentionally to reduce waste and use packaging that is largely recyclable. Each arrangement is finished with care instructions to help extend its life at home, because we believe flowers should be experienced fully and last as long as possible.
How We Design
We source with a local-first mindset whenever possible, then complement with specialty stems from trusted growers abroad. The objective is always balance: character in form, clarity in palette, and a finish that feels considered from every angle.
Our work spans same-day gifting, weekly floral subscriptions, weddings, private celebrations, and brand activations. Whether the scale is intimate or architectural, we approach each commission with the same discipline and softness.
Sourcing & Sustainability
We prioritize Quebec growers and regional farms whenever possible, then source globally for rare seasonal varieties. Our packaging is largely recyclable, and we continue to reduce single-use materials across studio operations, delivery preparation, and event workflows.
At Cherie, sustainability is not an add-on. It is part of how we select stems, plan quantities, and design pieces that are meant to be enjoyed longer, not discarded sooner.
